Default My phone number (in about phone)SOLVED

How to change my self name and number.
one of my friend has added his profile on top of the contacts list... that is on myself number

and now he is selling his mobile to my another friend. after resetting the mobile
the profile which he added initially remain same i try to edit profile and added default another phone number and try to change name but no use IT DOESN'T DISPLAY NEWLY ADDED NAME OR NUMBER AFTER SELECTING DEFAULT ALSO . any suggestions

yes i have tried to reset phone.

Happened with me too
i did this : inserted my sim in my old samsung corby, edited 'my own number' to my current phone number, and in profile added my own name
then inserted that sim back in neo v, and voila, fixed !

The "My Number" info is stored on the SIM-Card, not the phone. Reseting the phone is not gonna delete it. Try with another SIM and see if it's still there, it shouldn't be.

Thanks mate. I belived this is solved. Use any other phone to edit own phone number in sim. Like Samsung champ I didn't try but it is possible to change.
