Galaxy Note N7000 - 2.3.6 Stock XXLC1 + Francos Kernel.
Xoom MZ604 - OTA 4.0.3 + root + Tiamat Dev kernel + tools.

I'm trying to read up on loading modules so I can give this kernel a try. Can anyone post a n00b friendly guide to getting started? There are a lot of people out there dying to get USB audio functionality on their phones who could serve as testers. I'd certainly love to try connecting to my two USB DACs.

Can you run initscripts on this kernel? Original speedmod doesn't have it enabled. Anyone can confirm if the module cifs.ko exists in this kernel?

Just like Samsung stock kernel it does not have cifs module, CIFS support is built in kernel. You don't have to load a module to get it working. It should work Out-of-the-Box.

V6 is comming, huge changes.

Cifs definitely does work. I use it often.
Not done much with ALSA configs, been busy with a wedding (and recovering) and Wimbledon

Soon flashing Criskelo V8 and a bigger/better alsa build if I can find one!

I will try and post instructions later for installing the required modules. Probably a script too. It's not so hard.
Make sure you have a terminal program though.

Will wait for v6 though I think.
