Nice guide! did you get it from the cincygeek?

cincygeek. com/2012/06/howto-flash-roms-and-root-a-samsung-galaxy-nexus/

I only point this out because I don't want to read sites that steal content

As that is your first post on xda I am going to forgive you this time but you should REALLY do your research before accusing someone of stealing their OWN work.

All you had to do was look at the pictures posted in the cincygeek thread to see that at the top of the Model Selection and Main Menu screens it CLEARLY states it was written by Mark Skippen (mskip@xda-developers.com) and the support link is to my thread on xda.

ALOT of sites post my ToolKits so to answer your questions no i didnt get it from cincygeeks they got it from me. They didnt steal my content as they havent passed it off as their own work (although they havent stated where they got it from which would be nice) and im fine with other sites posting the ToolKit as it will always be linked back to me .

your antivirus is blocking it and kicking it as soon as it completes. What browser do you use(chrome, firefox, internet explorer) and what OS win7,xp,vista, mac?

Question google wallet

Hello guys, ive got just one question. I have GSM EU galaxy nexus, latest 4.0.4 IMM76l.

I want to get google wallet. Can I get it without all the hassle with root, market enablers and all kinds of *cake* like that by just flashing my phone using the USA GSM WITH GOOGLE WALLET option ? Won't it brick my phone or something ?

Default restore problem

So, I did a full backup, and gave it a password...

Upon successful rooting, when trying to restore, it almost immediately says "completed" and never actually restores. I'm quite certain that I've got the password correct, and my phone never had a file-system encryption password set, so I left that blank.

Am I just hosed? The file on my PC is about 400 megs...

Thanks!

EDIT: HAH! Even though I didn't have a desktop backup password set when I created the backup, setting one, and using it during the restore seems to have solved the problem!

so now that JellyBean is on the way, I finally decided to root my device. The question, though, is if it's possible to back everything up BEFORE unlocking Fastboot?

Thanks all!
