Hi
I have searched this forum but cannot seem to find the answer to the problem I have.
I am running Kingdroid v3, and last night flashed Speedmod as I was finding that the Franco Kernel was making things a little sluggish.
This kernel is running great in all ways except one. Although I have mobile data working, it only works if I have an excellent data signal, on 3G. Anything lower than this (when the phone displays H) is not working at all.
Does anyone know of a way to sort this, as otherwise I guess I will have to go back to Franco.
Cheers

This sounds like a modem issue. Try flashing a different modem.
I'm running LR1 modem and Speedmod kernel without any issues.

Thanks for your reply, but is it likely to be a modem issue given that I never had any mobile internet problems whilst on the franco kernel?

I installed this Kernel, and it looked pretty good, but when I tried to do a backup in CWM, it could not see my external SD card and the backup failed. Does anyone know the cause of this or have a solution?

Back to Franco Kernel for the moment.

Not sure why, but since flashing this kernel my Note takes much longer to recharge. Anyone else seeing this?

This is my exact problem. I would welcome any thoughts on how to fix this.
Thanks

@hardcore:
it would be interesting to compile a kernel version with swap enabled. This might enhance system performance when running other gnu-Linux systems in a chroot, like Debian, Ubuntu and so on. Ram availability seems a bottleneck especially with memory-hungry userspace programs like openoffice.

Could you please compile an experimental SpeedMod kernel with swap?

Thanks...

I think I have managed to fix this by reflashing Speedmod, then rebooting recovery twice before rebooting the system!

Since they are both TW-ICS ROMS, can I just flash over with caches cleaning?

Thanks for any pointer.
Ya since both of them are tw stock based roms u can flash without data wipe..criskelo 7 come in no wipe mode...u clear cache, dalvic, kernal cleaning script, update, again clear cache and dalvik...and u can flash speedmod if u want after that...anyway better to backup ur apps by anymethod as a last option...!

using on custum rom Criskelo's ICS V7. Evrythink alright.
Franco kernel used to reboot my phon 3-4 times by day.
I was just surprised to loose my root. I understood that was caused by olt aplli "superSu" was not compatible, then I took superuser and I keep it back.
