Shame on Samsung for that. And their loss as well (I have been holding to my original 7" Tab just because of that and will probably upgrade to something else than the 7.7 in the end...)

I Think, that if you look at the technical specs the Galaxy Tab 7.7 is really good.
S-Amoled Plus Display with high resoluten, Phone function and still mobile enough for everyday use.

Only Android HC 3.2 is not working very well on this device and software support by Samsung is very poor...

Talking only ics source matters

I would just like to add that I really don't care about SAMSUNG stock ROMS. I am just hoping for any 7.7 ICS ROM to come out so our excellent developers can turn out some groovy 'tweaked' ICS ROMS (e.g. sk806).

This is what happened with my first 'Android' (WM6.5 actually) phone, the HTC HD2. I think we were on ICS before the world had heard of ICS.

I'm not too fussy with the waiting times as HC is still usable (I treat HC similar to Windows Vista, and ICS being Windows 7),

my philosophy was evaluating the type of hardware first and software came last (as long as the device is not locked), because there will always be updates on software in the future but the hardware cannot be changed anymore, and the screen on this little device is wonderful.

For people who want to own one, wait for the fall in demand and the price range around $300 and below, and this will still be a nice ICS tablet to have around.
