Default Force launcher to work in portrait?

Hiya :)

I would like to know if you guys has been able to force the std launcher to work in portrait mode?

I know it doesn't work by default, however if I use Overskreen browser and minimize the window the launcher works just fine in portrait - this leads me to think that the feature us in fact implemented in the launcher it just not " turned on"?

Yes I know I could just change launcher however I actually like the std one - out works quite well for me :)

I assume you mean landscape? If so, you need either modded stock, root required, or change launcher.

There is an app that does that. It's called Car Mode On, as far as I remember. No need for root?, btw

Yea it would quite odd if it actually was a problem having it in portrait :D

And that is the only way to force it? Sorry but that seems unlikely given that a simple floating browser can do it?!

Yes but that keeps the screen awake which I'm not really wanting - however I would imagine whichever trick the app is using it would be able port that to a simple app that just forces landscape mode and doesn't change one bit else?
