cm guys are merging it. i believe most of what you hear is complete hokus pokus though. you know how these things go, things get exaggerated so bad its out of proportion. read the actual gerrit on cm, where the code was first posted. they tried locally and measured almost no improvement whatsoever, maybe a few more points in for sunspider and that was it. all the "linaro roms" now have 3 more points in sunspider, wow, now thats really worth such a fuzz.
the code that made their rom fly in that test you have seen on youtube has only recently been inofficially published in those gerrit comments as its not yet stable, these were a couple of simple string functions optimized in assembler. this could indeed speed up things but lets not get overoptimistic and wait until its properly tested.

never backup system apps. this can be dangerous, dangerous in that it can screw with your rom or softbrick your phone. and theres no reason to use tibu, use gnex toolkit - your nexus has a built in backup agent that is officially supported and made by google. tibu can not touch it.

Excuse me for being paranoid (but not android..) but everytime my phone restart after giving my PIN i got a pop-up message (not notification) saying "sending" (well, in french it's "envoi en cours") twice.

fresh install config means full wipe? you mean you get a toast after you completely wipe your phone clean and start up with no apps installed at all? yeah, it would be strange - not normal but i dont believe it has anything to do with PA, never heard of it before.

I think scaling it to the same dpi as SystemUI and framework-res should make it work. I'll fiddle around with it more later on

Yep, almost 100% sure it happened on my first boot after wiping everything coming from AOKP m5 to 1.3b.

i did some logcat digging and i got message like :

D/CAT (654) CatService: SEND_SMS
D/CAT (654) StkAppService: SEND_SMS

(got this twice after each boot , it match with my two toast notifications)

Then I get the "location set by GPS" icon on my notification bar.
It won't go away. I think its why my battery is draining?
Anyone else having this happen?
I haveny added any new apps or changed any settings since I updated to 1.3 but its only been happening since around then.

Awesome ROM. No words to credit.. my favorite custom ROM for Gnex.
But personally I don't like to Paranoid boot animation and logo. Those graphics are near to Marvel Comics. Boot animation & logo should be little bit professional for this professional work. (like MIUI official boot animation or new Slim ICS boot animation.
Anyway my congrats for your work.

Well, aside from having to reinstall play music every time as int's not in the market in my country.... I say tis rom works pretty well, specially under fracno's nightlyes care...

hm must be something with aosp settings. i know i once had that on stock aosp and didnt know why. i had also always gmaps open in my recents for no reason. i guess it was an app cuasing this as it went away after i started from scratch on aokp and since then i never had it again.
