Question How can I check whether I have the CH or GB kernel?

Sorry for the fairly n00bish question, but how can I check whether I have the CH or GB kernel?

Currently I am using the stock Milestone 2 ROM froyo and have never upgraded it.
Bought in the UK.

You have answered by yourself. You don't have neither. You have Froyo kernel.

Solution?

no1. flash GB SBF (I do not recommend this, because after this, you can't go back to Froyo easily; there is downgrade... but... )

OR

no2. flash CM9 for CH GB kernel and then flash Milestone2-GB-kernel-update.zip via CWM (in the attachment)

P.S.: it is double zipped. Please unzip it once and the next zip is flashlable via CWM (I had to do this because of xda attachment restrictions)

my quick comparsion of ROM speed (smoothness)
(from fastest to slowest; bold one is the ROM I'm currently using)
  1. MS2Ginger 4 (-Danik-) / CM7 (tezet)
  2. Stock Gingerbread ROM (UK SBF)
  3. MIUI (will5)
  4. CM10 (tezet)
  5. Stock Froyo ROM (UK SBF)
