THANK YOU SO MUCH for this rom! A lifesaver!

Two things:

1) When the phone gets overloaded, often the android phone app itself crashes so data and phone the signal goes out. Any idea why?

2) How bare bones is this? Is it possible to go as far as AOSP stock while maintaining wimax/au connectivity?

I haven't had this happen to me. When you say overload what exactly are you doing? Also what's your set up regarding the kernel?

2) How bare bones is this? Is it possible to go as far as AOSP stock while maintaining wimax/au connectivity?

I have basically removed the Rosie.apk (launcher) , lockscreen.apk and the HTC widgets, and most of the bloat. Regarding stock AOSP that would require, to my knowledge, quite a bit of work to get working WiMAX. Most likely beyond me currently! What is it your looking for?

Thanks for a quick reply.

1) As in times of high CPU usage. Last time it happened I was flipping through Flipboard's new app and it happened. I am using the provided kernel with no mods and no data2sd.

2) I was wondering because I prefer the AOSP status bar, calendar, dialer, contacts, etc.


Also, 3) How do you send SMS? I have never used it on my phone before even with stock. I tried sending a message but each time I try sending I get a message sending failed notification and then the phone app resets, similar to how my #1 acts.

1. Have you tried overclocking the kernel? I personally haven't run into this problem.
Also are you running the ROM with an sd-ext?
Have you tried clearing cache and dalvik, fixing permissions?
What recovery you using?


2. Maybe I can look into theming along those lines. You could use alternate apps in the meantime. I'm using dialer ex at the minute with ICS theme.

I overclocked and now SMS works. Not sure if it is because of a different message or because I overclocked. No sd-ext. Though if send a message, the 3G symbol goes away for a little bit, reappears, then the SMS is sent.

Glad you got SMS working
The 3G icon disappears the same as when calls are made as its not data but through the phone network that sends the message.
I'm thinking you're experiencing lag as you don't have an ext. I highly recommended doing it..
Remember if you decide to partition, any data you want to save transfer over to your computer first.
I'm new to this rom game, so porting AOSP would be a bit difficult for me. I'm hoping that there are other devs out here in Japan who might be able to do much better things than I have. I haven't found any yet I'm wondering though if someone has found a way of porting our wimax settings to other sense roms.
