A few things to put here.
1st in beta 2 do you use stock txt/mms app? In beta2 I used to use go SMS pro till their last update, which stuffed up my message backups but I could send receive mms.

Using my good friend Mr Google it turns out this is a common problem across most if not all versions of cm9.

The fix:-

The only current fix is 3rd party app.
I'm now using hancent but to get mms to work you have to change the setting in /settings/application settings/default SMS-mms app (this compleatly disables stock messaging app)

I now have working mms!
Thanks guys/girls...

@Zeubea. Might be a good idea to add this fix to 1st post for those who can't get mms working.

I used the stock app with no problems/configuration.

check your cpu governor and cpu min.
I used on demand governor and min set to 245Mhz. Used the music app that was included. There were small lags during playback about every 30 seconds. A possible reason could be a high bitrate of my mp3s coz some of them are 320kbps. I will check if that's the reason later....

Using the gb codecs sounds like alot of work. Could the laggy playback be caused by the missing codecs?

I am using this rom as my everyday ROM, but One bug is bugging me all the time.

The Caller ID displays some internal id and the phone no but does not displays the callers Name from my Google phone book. (I have around 400 contacts).

However When the call ends the history shows correct name.

Anyone else facing the same issue?

DONATE TO ME
Default Phone didn't pass Bootanimation, but didn't freeze

Hi,
I installed Beta3 today and i really liked it!

Before i have installed this Beta3 i made a Backup of my apps with Titanium Backup 5.32

The restoring of the apps in Beta3 worked fine -- but then didn't pass the 57% mark, so i stopped it and tried to reboot.

Then it didn't reboot -- the problem was that the /data was completely full and the Legend couldn't get pass the Bootanimation, but also didn't freeze!

So i went into recovery and wiped the data partition and started setting up my phone again - but this time with S2E set up at first and properly.
Now i don't have any Problems with hanging while booting anymore!
I also could successfully restore my apps with Titanium Backup!

Hey,
after testing this ROM since alpha state, I finally made it my everyday ROM.

It´s an amazing piece of software - thanks so much for creating it!

However, there are two things that are bugging me a bit:

Is there another way of using tethering except for using open garden? As far as I understood that app it´s only possible to tether using bluetooth, but the device I want to connect to hasn´t got bt...

And sometimes the phone seems to freeze for like 20 seconds. It just stops responding, the screen gets dimmed just as if you weren´t using it and then suddenly it starts working again...(I did not change the frequencies for the processor, the only thing I changed is that I turned dithering off.)

Does anyone know a fix to any of these problems?

Thanks in advance!

EDIT: Something different: today I got a reboot after toggling wifi off. (No complains here, just wanted you to know.)

Open garden works with Bluetooth or Wi-Fi haven't tried on beta 3 but previously the encryption doesn't work and you can only use it in open mode, however you can set it up so only authorized devices can connect.

Alright, thanks for your reply. I seem to have overlooked something in opengarden, but now everything´s fine.

Another question: What´s the recommended settings for improving battery life? (Except for obvious things like: low brightness, wifi/3g/bluetooth off when not in use)
I´m especially referring to processor related settings like which min/max frequencies or which governor to use.

Thank you.
