I need to send my phone to Verizon for a replacement because of an issue I have with the headphone jack of the phone. If I do I will get the one with the new firmware installed, so does that mean I won't be able to run Skyraider Zeus on it?

U shouldn't have anything to worry about. I s-offed my wife's replacement with new firmware w/out issue. I'm running UKB sense4a, and its flawless. Can't speak for any other rom though.

If it was my phone I would but it's my wife's. She'd be pissed if I messed with it after she got it set up. Sorry man. You can always htcdev unlock it and flash the kernel through fastboot. I've never had any repercussions from returning an unlocked phone, so you shouldn't have anything to worry about.

I bought a Inc-2 from a private party last Sept and been running without a contract since Dec 2011. Verizon doesn't transfer warranties sorry, they couldn't help me. I called Verizon Tech on Fri the 23rd and after two hours they decided to replace my old Inc-2 with a brand new (not reconditioned) Inc-2 that I received this morning with a 16 gig card by FEDEX. I been a customer since 2005 and told them they could kiss my ass good bye if they couldn't figure out a way of making me happy.

Not everyone with the newer firmware are having the bootloop loop issues. But most are. I am also running ukb this rom is sick!!! I got mine just in time before the new firmware. However i am using the radio from it.

Ukb v is the best ics rom for our phone. If you want gingerbread i thought the 5.01m ext4 was better than zeus personally. If you have not gave it a try you should.

About 2 weeks ago...I got a refurb unit from VZW, and had no problem downgrading it and getting back to where I left off with the unit I had to return to stock and send back to Big Red. The refurbished one looked brand new to boot.
