Default [Q] What the hell?

Alright, some one is messing with the threads... I can't find a thread that tells you the most recent recovery image for any one.... I see the twrp 2.0.0... and that says you can download the updated through play store... well guess what? my rom is messed up so i need to manually flash it in, but can't do that now, can i..... looking for cwm, but i see the 5.5.0.4... no mention of the new cwm touch... which was like 5.8.x.x.... but i don't know if the google code download is the right place to download it.... And the "bible" has no mentions of recoveries... what gives? Did someone forget about that or are people completely dropping custom recovery images.....

Two things....

2. Wrong forum for a question.

You are talking about Xboarder56's CWM. He removed them from this site and has his own site now. You should use 4EXT. It is in my toolkit.

I really do not like the concept of paying for a controller that i would never use.... Most if not all the time, I access the recovery through the bootloader, so no need of a controller on the rom level... But to make the installer through the rom level? that's not smart... and I just need a recovery image... since I don't need a toolkit, i was hoping to find a repository of all the images for amaze, but i guess they watered the whole development process down to a simple click, which i find disheartening...

What do you mean you wouldn't pay for it? 4EXT is only $3 and you get unlimited updates. You need the apk because it fixes permissions and settings for the recovery. The recovery is awesome. Even if you only use it once, it can help recover your phone. You wouldn't want to support a dev that did all this work and you want to call all this we do, disheartening? I have no words to say on how I feel about this right now. Our good ol' work is a waste... Nice.

This sums it up good.

Not to mention, you don't HAVE to buy the app... He gives away a free version. If OP had half of a brain he would know that by now.

I agree with your agreement, lol. Mainly due to the fact that there is no thread about TWRP here either, oh well, back to Q&A for me.
