I haven't seen the restore.bat from this thread, as it seems to be in the zip files, is this available anywhere separately?

Also, since I know exactly how I dumped my stock files, can I just restore 'em with nvflash directly? If I look at the Honeystreak flash file there's a lot of stuff in an android_2gb.cfg file which has partitions + lots of other info..

Appreciate any suggestions.
Here is that .zip with the restore.bat file. It is renamed because it is in the same folder as another nvflash zip that didn't include the restore.bat file.

Appreciate that! I'll have to compare some things between them, I have a partition dump but it's different from the flash.cfg etc... hmmmm...

I am a disabled Iraq Vet that suffers from a head injury. I haven't unlocked rooted or anything. I don't know where to start and don't know why. If someone could help me out. I use to know how to do things. Since my return home I have a hard time remembering and staying focused. Should I first unlock the device then root and then change OS? I have been looking around but want to make sure first before I att.empt anything

Just brought back a Streak to life with this guide! thanks a lot!!!!

Note: I had to download every link from 4shared, i used JDownloader, a download manager, and i made a dlc package (attached) so you can download everything at once (it requires a 4shared account though), all credit goes to illdill!

Default IMG files ???

I have a Dell streat 7 4G that I bought that is stuck on CWM. I bought it because if that comes up I figure it can be fixed.

I can understand these instructions but want to know if I can use the original files download you linked of zipx file Streak7OrigSystem.zipx:
boot_orig.img
system_orig.img
recovery_orig.img
bootanimation_orig (is a folder)

Instead of the files p2.img through p14.img which appear to be under your G-Slate folder on your 4share site?

If so instead of adding the p2-p14 files to the nvflash folder what do I do?

Thank you so very much!

Josh

Default Only boots to CWM - PC not recognizing it in NVflash mode

Only boots to CWM - PC not recognizing it in NVflash mode
I have a S7 that will only boot to CWM (dell logo and straight into CWM). I bought it cheap that way figuring I could fix it. I think I get it into NVflash mode by holding the + and - volume buttons and clicking the power reset button by the SD card slot while the USB is plugged in. It lights up the three touch buttons and the power green light is on but my PC does not see it. I'm running windows 8. Please help. I have everything I need to NVflash per the above link but can't get back the PC recognizing the S7.

Thank you very much.

Josh

DONATE TO ME
Default Re: Restoring the Streak 7 using NVFlash

Press volume up and down at the same time and plug it in. Don't know how windows 8 is going to react to the drivers.

What if the PC will not even recognize the S7? Is there anything I can do? I have press and hold up and down volume at the same time and then plugged in the USB to the PC; I have plugged it in while off and then pressed and hold up and down volume and push the pin on off at the SD card. I just cant get the PC to see the S7.

What should I do if the PC just isn't seeing the S7?

Thank you.
