I wiped data cache system and dalvik and on reboot it hangs at the samsung logo, same as when I would wipe in cwm. Backup and restore worked fine though and rom install was easy. I'm liking this recovery a lot.

Everything except for internal sd-card works for me. Since that's where I store my roms to flash, I will have to flash back to cwr for now, but hope to try an updated twrp someday.

Apparently Mobile ODIN doesn't work on the SGH-i957. I tried it.
On the other hand, this recovery is BAD ASS, easily worth cranking up that annoying "custom flash counter".

How'd you manage to get this to increment the flash counter? That's no good.

Root your device first, install this with the command in post #7 from a shell and you won't trigger the flash counter.. Then do your image and kernel updates via the TWRP adb root shell and you'll have a virgin flash counter even if your entire device is full of custom binaries.
