use the app called Root Explorer, open it and on the first screen search for a file called init.rc . Open it as text, scrool down the page and search for this line:
#Define the memory tweaks thresholds at which the above process classes will be killed. These numbers are in pages (4K).

When you get to that line, check the memory values that are under it.

One minor request for people who have sudden app close:

When your app gets closed (even keyboard, it is still an app ), please go into Settings and see how much MB Ram do you have in that moment. Or use an app that monitorize your free RAM. I can then make a diagnostic.. I have a hunch about what's going on but I am not 100% sure.

Also please let me know how much dalvik vm heapsize do you have?

If your ram is lower than 20-30, the secondary app, which is in this case the keyboard, this will probably get killed. I will have to reproduce it into my phone though, which is kinda hard.

Cheers!

Can't seem to open the file, all I get is a blank white page.

I'm now typing with my hero, keyboard is ok.ram check at 21mb before I come to this app.

However, before this I ran Facebook app, then Facebook messenger app trying to chat but keyboard get kill again n again n again. Gave up chatting n return to homescreen for couple of minutes before running xda app.

I think most of d time our hero goes 20mb or below ram? My heap set to 48mb n compcache, JIT disabled

I managed to stop it from killing the keypad. I set cm heap size to Max. Set compcache to Max and enabled jit and it seems to have stopped killing apps. Runs a lil smoother. Same autokiller settings.

It's not recommended to set vm heapsize to maximum. That's the amount of mb you will allow for the visible app, so the rest of the apps will get killed immediately. Don't worry, tomorrow I'll figure out a new set of internal mem killer values and post a new build
