For what? Return policy? Is it illegal and will they shut you down? No
Whats the reason for concern?

my line is being moved to a new account, but at other places ( im looking at you Verizon and ATnT) they will tell you to come back unrooted and the latest official stock ROM, but would sprint do that? or will they say nothing about it?

Well if they need to use dialer codes for anything I would imagine they wouldn't like it if you were on aokp or something but idk. I've never gone for service with it on a custom.

Get to know your service rep and all is good, if that's possible. I discuss xda and new ROMs with my local rep and no problems.
