Yeah they're definitely doing something...who knows. I don't think it's my Rezound.. I know what we need to do!! We need to plant a mole in the company!

I dunno if people are still having this issue, but I've rooted and achieved s-off on my rezound since and havnt had the data drop once that I have noticed. I've only been running ics roms since I did it tho. Maybe that's what the difference is. I think its software based. Lots of people accross the bored in carriers are reporting this issue.

My Rezound has the issue but my husband's thunderbolt does not have the issue. We can be in the same app in the same location - he has 4g and I drop it.

I would like to upgrade him to a Rezound (especially at $79) but that sounds like terrible advise knowing I am having so many problems.

I prefer to not root until I am off contract - I know it is unlikely that I would need another replacement and I know it is unlikely that they would check or even care if they did - but I have the kind of luck that makes it more likely <sigh>

I have two Rezounds both stock never messed with and both have had the same problem with 4G just dropping while either launching a Internet app or while in the middle of using it. Been reading about this for awhile and having the issues for awhile but never posted about it till now. I'm in southern California.

Default Factory reset finally solved 4G disconnects

After having this issue for a month and trying flashing different roms, GB stock ruu, reverting to s-on, calling support, changing SIM card, the issue has been solved by factory reset. This was one thing that I had not tried, assuming that flashing stock RUU should reset the phone as thoroughly as performing a factory reset - apparently not, go figure...

So here's what worked for me, in case it helps anyone else: I went completely stock by reverting to s-on and flashing the 2.01.605.11 RUU by running .exe utility on pc. The factory reset was performed from the Settings menu (not hboot), and I selected to "Erase all data" on phone storage, with the sd card being pulled (note that you should save all your photos, music, etc before doing this, in case you keep them on your phone's internal storage).

Could it be possible that the Big Red is fraggin with just the Rezound crowd reception? I hate to get all conspiratorial but it seems like we are sort of treated like the red headed step children since the beginning.

I am on my 4th Rezound and I did take a Maxx for a day in between as well. I found it had more issues than the Rezound. I ran through a fully charged battery in 6 hours on a Maxx and the only thing I did was send one text and make one call. That thing just could not lock onto a decent signal in either 4G, 3G or just voice. I think that is why it ripped though a battery so quickly. Well that was on its way back to them within 24 hours.
