Wiping battery stats does absolutely nothing to how the battery is reported. All batterystats.bin does is give you stats listing everything you see on the battery use screen, such as how long the screen was on, how much wifi was used, cell standby, etc. It has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING AT ALL to do with battery life or how the battery is reported. Wiping battery stats will do nothing to help that problem, and telling people to wipe battery stats does nothing for them, it's a complete placebo effect.
