Honestly, it will work. Its almost impossible to brick due to locked bootloader, if they didn't have that retarded downgradability block which I see no benefit of having then your phone would still be working. In future use fixed sbfs if you want to be able to downgrade, but you can't downgrade past froyo this way because its already had full froyo on it, this is why you have black screen
