Awesome you've found a workaround!

If it's a kernel problem there's not much I can do without including a whole new kernel in the ROM really.

Feel free to flash a new kernel and feedback with your results. If there are multiple benefits to using a certain kernel with this ROM I may include it if the developer of said kernel is okay with me doing that

Isn't it the case that you need S-OFF to flash new kernels though? I've read that HTC's official bootloader unlock only lets you use stock kernels, unless that's not the case for the ChaCha for some reason

The system apps are in /system/app whereas the user space for apps is at /data/app, they're separate partitions. This is true for all ROMs. You can however move your personal apps to the system partition, but to do that with Titanium Backup you need the premium version.
hey.... got it.... thanks man

Very nice firmware. I know you must be busy in your exams right now, but can you eliminate the dialer bug in your next release? Thanks in advance and good luck.

Hi hexgore...
I am getting a notification for system update from HTC . Should I install it? Or it will take time to add it to new release ... Would it spoil my root and s-off ?

Thanks

No don't install it. It won't even install anyway because you have Clockwork recovery. Wait until Hexgore includes it in his next release.

Play Store updates itself anyway. I'll add the new version in the next release anyway but there's no real reason to flash it manually on your phone.

Hey man,

Just a heads up. The rom has now become laggy over time. Esp the touchscreen input. The rest of it (apps) work okay - but the touchscreen input (weather in main screen, call log) is OFTEN laggy. need to lock/unlock screen for it to work.

Any ideas?

No changes I've made could cause extra lagginess. Use the memory cleaning things to wipe app caches and unused apps. As you know the phone has very limited memory.

You can also use Link2SD and move your apps to your MicroSD by using the workaround in the OP.

Ah, i've already done all of that. The phone slows down INSPITE of that

Fed up of this phone honestly. Defy flies in comparison and otherwise I will go to a blackberry if this crap continues for six months like this.
