It does make sense they would release ICS for one of the most popular models first. Our chances just increased, though I doubt we'll be next within this month. Would love to be wrong, though!

I hope you're right, but it's not exactly what AT&T's saying on their blog(The SGSII ICS release):

"ICS updates are coming this summer for more AT&T Android devices so stay tuned."

Taken from:
http://blogs.att.net/consumerblog/story/a7782848

This summer...? Ok, it's a defined period, better than "the coming months". But "more AT&T Android devices" gives them wiggle room, once more... Hopefully we'll be next soon, but I must sadly still doubt it...

didn't know about that post. i figured that they announced the ICS update in the start of the quarter so it was logically will be release by the end of the quarter or the first week of the next one.

but still if that's the case for the glide (that period of time for release) its only give us, in the worst case scenario, two months of waiting.

yea i know its seems like a lot but it's better then "eventually will be released" no?

What if we don't get it by July 1st? Do we all try to call Samsung or AT&T and complain. I don't think I can call Rogers as they did not state that it would get upgraded. OK so I can not call AT&T since I am not there customer but I guess I can call Samsung!

I think, starting july. We will all become a pain in the neck untill we get the update. I think we should all do Samsung.

hello to this thread. i would like to know if once ics is released will there be a rooted roms for the samsung sgh-i927 and the samsung canadian version of the phone. The reason why i am asking, for those of us who cant just upgrade through kies due to issues with the buggy kies software and are refusing to use this until samsung has an alternative solution. Also will there be an over the air update to this as well. If not i am hoping for a rooted rom to the ics and then after this the developers need to work on jelly bean as google has said that they will be releasing jelly bean in mid july for devices.
