what key issues effect this ROM? I'm thinking about picking one up -but only if i could run ics, more specifically aosp ics...
many thanx for info regarding this rom's usability.
I recommend choosing the droid4 (if you want keyboard) or another phone that is atleast in plans of getting official ICS.
Althought there have been many many breakthroughs, video codes and other issues are not working right with this ROM. Making the video recorder, some videos, flash, chrome, bluetooth, and more not work.

Occasional Bluetooth issues (especially that no sound will play through the phone's speakers while Bluetooth is on without anything connected) and lack of hardware codecs, which means no video recording, no Flash Player, certain apps possibly not functioning correctly, etc.. Overall, it's good if you don't care about the lack of hardware codecs and you don't use Bluetooth. I use it as my main ROM, but the lack of hardware codecs does sometimes bother me (and because of it I'm probably switching to the Droid 4 or Droid Razr this week because they're at least getting an official ICS release).
From the Eris to the Droid 3, and now on the Droid Razr with CM10.
Many thanks for both your inputs, droid 4 is a sick handset but for the extra 150.00 (even second hand -ebay)...i couldn’t care less about blue-cabbage, but the codec indifferences isn’t good, not being able to shoot/playback video sucks... I thought the upgrade path for droid 3 and 4 we're both to include ics?
No, droid 3 was on list just to check and see if they approved, they didn't... you can playback videos, just not record, panorama pics, and use some camera relatedc software.
I am having severe battery drain issues and I was going to reload the rom when I realized that it isn't on the downloads section of hash-of-codes. I can only find the unofficial releases and they aren't working very well for me. Does anyone know where to get the 3-11 version or know an unofficial release that works? The link sent me here to download BTW http://rombot.droidhive.com/ROMs/solana/cm9/

Seriously folks, I was a huge moto fan for so long but after getting my hands on the Galaxy Nexus...never anything else again!

I played around with a Galaxy Nexus before, but I wasn't too impressed with it in comparison to Moto's phones. Sure, it's a "pure" Android experience without as many restrictions, but Motorola makes some damn nice products. So I went with the Razr today, and I don't regret it. The ICS update should be coming for it soon, and I'm impressed with how well Motorola got Blur to work with ICS. It's not impeding on it at all, and I think I even prefer it to the stock ICS launcher.

Thanks to all that answered this guy's question. With Verizon's new policy of having to dump (grandfathered) unlimited data in order to get a subsidized phone upgrade, I think that a lot of us will be looking into used phones.
And coming from a Droid 2 running CM9, I'd only upgrade to another phone that runs it.

Like I said, I wasn't impressed with the Nexus. I love the Razr, it has ICS and Motorola's modifications for it were definitely for the better. Without any modifications, my phone scores higher than the Nexus on Antutu (not by a lot, but it can consistently score higher than it). The only thing I find worse about the Razr in comparison to the Nexus is the screen, but I'm not bothered by the difference because the screen on the Razr is still great anyways. I don't really care that the Razr doesn't have Jelly Bean yet since it hasn't even been released yet, so I'll wait until Google irons all the final kinks out of it and releases the source for some developers to get it working, and perhaps for Motorola to make an official update.
This is a matter of preference, really. You like your Nexus more, I like my Razr more. One is not simply better than the other, it all comes down to the user. I would not want a Nexus, while you on the other hand would not want a Razr.
