I guess a lot of my phone is sentimental value. A second Atrix it would ruin it...

A lot of people seem to have more luck with this phone than I do. I love the phone but I would not recommend it.

I am on my second device(motorola replaced first device after being in for repair 3 times), and I have just sent my device in for repair a fourth time.

Issues:
Touch screen non-responsive
Touch screen non-responsive
WIFI & BT stopped working, 3/4G intermittent
Touch screen non-responsive

In addition, while I like the fingerprint scanner, until the official update you cannot use it on CM9, and CM9 is very glitchy. I haven't particularly liked any of the stock roms that were released, and CM7 overall seemed much more stable than stock, depending on which version you flashed.

I haven't used any other phones, but I couldn't recommend this one. I believe I will try a different hardware vendor next time around, most likely HTC or Samsung.

It just wasn't your luck this time, the phone may not work for you, but for some people the phone works more than great, there is only one thing that I wish it could have ( fart rainbows like nyan cat )

^ Mine's been "farting rainbows" ever since the day I unlocked the Bootloader.

CM7.2 (AKA CM7 with the latest "stable" version) has put the Atrix back into the top tier (or very close to it) of cell phones currently available out there...

Bought mine outright 2-3 months ago for £130 from the second hand shop and unlocked it for under a fiver. The shop made a mistake and sold it supposedly in poor condition as it looked like it had a load (and I mean a load) of scratches on the back cover. Once I got it out of the shop though I took a look and after 5 mins of scrubbing I removed the "scratches" (sticky goo) and had a near-mint condition phone. I even got £70 for my battered and scratched to hell xperia x10 and the atrix takes a dump all over it in terms of performance and quality. I had to ROM and overclock the hell out of the xperia to get any kind of smoothness out of it. I haven't done anything to the atrix yet, I just haven't felt the need to as stock is really good (plus I have a cheap lapdock I use quite often). The best part of the story though is when I went back to the shop and found another atrix in worse condition than mine for £160!

Atrix is still a great phone and although it isn't fully up to date still offers 99% of any other device out there and a few things no one else has. I'm just waiting until I get a bit of time to research the best roms, get the thing unlocked and put ubuntu or gentop2 on there.

Until we get ICS, this phone is worth nothing.

Don't you know the Settings > CyanogenMod Settings > Unlock Option > Skip on security?

It allows skipping lock screen when you are using FingerPrint scanner. And if you checked on CyanogenMod Settings > Input > Volume Rocker Wake, then you even dont have to press Power button to wake the phone up, but use the Volume up/down instead
