If you have HTC sync installed ..uninstall it ..also no usb hubs or usb 3.0 ports ..if using PC ..connect the device to back usb ports
then run it again

yayyyy i have done it finalllyyy with the COMMON PIN ... thanks for the great guide

happened with me too.. try plugging the usb into a different port of your laptop

You shouldn't run that command from fastboot

Here how you do it
fastboot erase cache ( if failed ignore it)
fastboot oem rebootRUU ( black screen with silver htc)
fastboot flash zip jb_hboot.zip
fastboot reboot-bootloader
