I haven't any problem of graphical issue on my A100

Anyone know what this update really bring? I have the stock from another thread 14 rooted no cwm. Should i bother installing this?

I downloaded the update/patch from Post #11 of this thread and copied it to my Ext SD card.
I booted into recovery with CWM and installed the patch.
I re-rooted using ZN's updated method.
I renamed "install-recovery.sh" to "install-recovery.sh.bak"
I then ran the following in ADB on my computer:
adb devices
adb reboot bootloader
fastboot erase recovery
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot reboot
The recovery image referred to above is from Post #1 of the [RECOVERY] CWM 5.5.0.4 For Acer A100 thread.
I now have the latest version with root and CWM.Hope this helps someone.

Language support in 4.0.3 missing

Can anyone let me know what language support the 4.0.3. image in this thread has?

Here is my problem: I have received my A100 in the US last November with the original 3.2.1 and multi language support (including Deutsch). Now I accepted the OTA update to 4.0.3 and there are only 4 languages being possible anymore. None of them Deutsch (German). ACER support says: as designed. I could return my A100 thru the dealer to Service and they would reload 3.2.1 - unfortunately I am not long enough in the US anymore to go thru this process. Anyone any good suggestion?

Since there is the new update, I know that rooting is fine with ZN's simple method. But do the CWM or TWRP custom recoveries work? I'm afraid that flashing these custom recoveries might brick it. Anyone?

As long as your bootloader is unlocked, either of those should work fine.

You can't brick flashing a recovery, as long as you have fast boot it adb you can replace it. I've even managed to flash my system with recovery, so I only had recovery, no android lol.

Now the bootloader I wouldn't randomly flash. Anything else, flash away.

I solved it by installing the rom Acer_A100_AV041_1.014.00_COM_GEN1.rar and run updates
