Default [Q] I need to get the wep key off my acer a500

I need to connect my laptop to my wifi network and forgot the long wep key. I have my Acer a500 connected now but I can't find or access the wep key. I just need to know how to access the wep key on my tablet so I can enter in my laptop.

Thanks for any help!!

I think that is stored in wpa_supplicant.conf but on android that might be in something like /etc/wifi . You can adb pull it. Use busybox find if you have to.

Try "wifi key recovery" app from google play. Requires root and it is free.

I think in ICS GUI you can pull up the connection under wifi, go to advanced tab and then you should be able to unhide the key from there?? I don't have my tablet on me right now.

Try to look in \data\misc\wifi... there the wpa keys are stored... I would guess that wep keys would be there too...
