HI there, I have a chinese IGo8 GPS with WinCE OS installed in it. I use that for my reversing camera as well. It was all started fine but everytime I try to navigate to a place, it is defaulting to Australia, Canberra region while I am living currently in wellington, New Zealand. Is there any way that we can change the sys.txt file to defaulted back to New Zealand, Wellington ? I think the current version of the maps is R19 Australian and New Zealand maps. Thanks vbrsekhar

Default sys.txt edit of GPS section for default location

Take a look at your sys.txt file and see if it has a GPS section like this one for London:

[gps]
default_latitude="40,417014"
default_longitude="3,70352"

If it does, either delete those lines or enter the right coordinates you want. You might also want to open the system.ini file in the default save directory to see if it too has a GPS directory. If it does, follow the same instructions.

In addition, some skins will have under settings, a GPS default location setting choice. If yours does, change that too

Make copies of both files and store them in a separate backup directory.

See if this works:

[power]
powermgm_state="1"

[warning.driveralert.settings]
preshow_distance_cat1="500"

The first header turns on the intelligent power managment feature. If I remember correctly, it should automatically adjust for events and you may not need the second header for the alert. You can try the first one only to see if it works and then add the second if need be.

Hello,

give it more Options in the sys.txt to exclude Roads?
I have found this:

[route]
handle_freeway_as_highway=1

This Option exlude all multilane Roads.

But how can I exclude all major roads and big Citys from navigation?

Default Default to 2D map?

Is there a way to get the map to default to 2D maps when in navigation mode?
