(No insult intended to the original OP, this just seems to be about the largest thread on this subject and therefore the best candidate to be turned into a sticky)

Default Nexus 7s shipping early?
Is it possible that Google might be shipping these things out a little earlier than mid-July? When I did my preorder, it said my card wouldn't be charged until it ships, yet my card was charged today. Hmm...

You sure it was charged and not just blocked?

I see the charge in there but you're right, it may just be an authorization. I guess I'll know if it expires in a few days. haha

I hope they come early. In leave on holiday on the 13th, would hate to know my new toy is at home while I'm away.

Christ, that's EXACTLY what I'm worried about. I'm on vacation all next week and if that thing were to come next week, however slim the chances may be, I may just explode. LOL

You are correct sir. It's the one thing that's a bit frustrating compared to Apple product launches. The RMBP was available on day 1 of it's launch.

I think the wait will be worth it for the N7 though.

I'm thinking the 2-3 week window was just a fail safe in the event there is a ridiculous amount of pre-orders and they can't fulfill all of them with the current stock they have on hand.

I'd expect to see these start shipping within a week.

I could also be telling myself this since I'll be going on vacation at the end of july and don't want to lug my laptop or 10 inch tablet around.

I just checked my card and it was charged for me too. $230.40

I hope they are going to be shipped soon!
