This has been broken since... forever. If you take a look, Google has had complaints about it since 2009: http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=3870

A bug report that has remained open for years... Something tells me they don't care

There are manual workarounds by using locally stored photos with apps like https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...tphotosupdater

I've seen this thread - thats why i dont want to sync with google. I thought when backing up the contacts with mybackup pro, all infos and photos are saved...

From which rom the config came? Stock i9001, yes? And the version number?

Should be XXKPU, because the guy who posted it has this rom in his signature. But ill ask him to be sure.


Yep, pre10 should be beta10! There seem to be no new problems, just fixes!
