Default Audible audiobooks on android?

Does anyone know of an app that will allow this? Or of a work around to get them working?

I haven't found anything like this for audio books or ebooks that is both has paid for books and popular books. I hope something is released soon.

DONATE TO ME
Audible's files are encrypted. You will need them to provide a client if you want to listen on your device. They don't share the details as far as I know.

There are ways to decrypt the files yourself on your computer, but Audible DMCAs any website that posts such information. I know of no way to decrypt the new format they have, just the old 1-4 formats.

Hmmm, you would just think that from a commercial point of view they would be interested in addressing a growing market (android).

I know I can burn a cd and then copy that to MP3 but it isn't ideal is it?

Default Playing audiobooks on the android

There are a lot of free audiobooks at librivox.org that you can listen to and some of them are very good. There is a free audiobook player called Ambling BookPlayer Lite on the Android Market that will automatically download all the files for LibriVox audiobooks directly to the Android and supports very nice bookmarking. There is also a "Personal" version of this player on the Android Market which supports playing audiobooks you have in formats such as mp3, ogg, or m4a, but it won't play the audiobooks from Audible that have DRM.

Smile Audible app is now available

Since this post is coming up in Google searches, it is probably worth mentioning that an Audible app for listening to their encrypted audiobooks is now available, and works fine.
