From what I understand the current dualboot option puts the ubuntu kernel in the recovery partition (that's why the power+vol up then vol_down gets you into ubuntu) so I wonder if that is possible. I thought I have read earlier in the thread using CWM to flash either then Android kernel (boot.img) or Ubuntu kernel (boot.img) to switch between them. Is this still an option, it would make updating the ubuntu kernel much easier, and still allow for use of CWM if something got messed up (reload a different Ubuntu Kernel, still able to get into Android with its kernel load)? Or was that a configuration that even worked?

Thanks, managed to login using that. Had to keep doing that while logging in because the screen flashes in other terminals too.

Yes, that works. Just rename recovery.img to boot.img and specify Ubuntu as the primary OS. Then you just need to pack the kernels into CWM zips - see the wiki for details.

Question Module for Phillips SPC 900NC

Hi there!

Please help me! I've installed ubuntu on my TF101 for only one purpose:
I need the program (Lin_guider) that can guide my telescope, while I take an astrophoto, working on my TF101.

For telescope guiding I need support of external USB webCam. The one I have is Phillips spc 900nc. But this version of kernel have no support of external webcams.

I've tryed to compile this module by muself, but installed Ubunta (kernel 2.6.36.4) have no headers for module compiling. And I can't find the proper headers in repository.

I've tryed to compile kernel as it described here with enabled Phillips cam support. But even after I've made kernel (there is 2 errors in source codes, you know?) it dont work (or I've flashed it incorrectly)

Can someone make me this module please? For kerenel 2.6.36.4
I need it badly! Please!

P.S. Sorry for my english!

For compiling the kernel, reading through the dev thread will be useful. e.g. the sound patch I posted there fixes those errors.
However, note that most of the work is now occurring on this kernel.

Hey guys, I've had a long time away from this project. How's it all going?
Reading over the last few pages, I see a couple new ideas. Any major improvements? I want to get back into it, but I'm no developer and I hate not being able to help myself when serious issues come up.

Most development is now taking place on the new 3.1 kernel which supports hardware acceleration. It has a bunch of serious issues though (like no USB hot plugging), so you might just want to keep an eye on it for now.

I'm not sure if the opengl-es drivers have installed correctly, as running es2_info lists the opengl renderer as 'Software rasterizer.' Is this normal? if not, how can I fix it?
