The dock is showing "coming soon" on Google Play.

I will be super pissed if they have pulled it and are re-designing it. In it's current form, the fit is just way too tight. If they release a rev.B version, I'm going to demand an exchange.

Using the same 3,5mm cable and connecting the phone directly everything sounds fine.
Will have to investigate more...
Just got my dock and I use a monster fm tuner audio converter since my radio doesn't have an aux input. The volume was very low and very fuzzy/whiny. Simply not tolerable longer than a minute or two though music and navigation would go through my car speakers. Any suggestions?

Are there any statements about a new revision of the car dock?

No. I imagine they are out of stock because they are out of stock.

I just ordered one from here:

It took a couple days to process my order but it just shipped out today.

Indeed wanted to order it on Wednesday when ordering another Galaxy Nexus phone to go with it but had to order just the phone.

Now waiting for it before ordering Nexus 7 to bundle it together, do not want to pay shipping charges for 3 separate orders (one for Nexus phone, another for tablet and third for the dock). Not sure if all the people ordering Nexus phone due to price drop ordered dock and made it out of stock or they are redesigning.

Yes, it fits perfectly in the dock even with the extended battery (the original one from Samsung)

So I recently got my car dock to replace my Touchstone as a car charging solution. The Touchstone worked great but I was worried that leaving it plugged in was draining my car's battery since I had to jump-start it the other day.

Anyhow, right now I'm running a USB cord to the car mount through my Belkin Aircast Auto, which has a USB port, and I've noticed that it doesn't charge the battery faster than using GPS Navigation with the screen on drains it. Is this likely and issue with the charger? I guess what I'm asking is, have people had the phone charge fine with the included Samsung charger while using it for Navigation?

Some chargers aren't, internally, wired/soldered correctly and Android assumes that it's a USB port (ie a port that can spit out 500mA or 0.5A) vs an AC charger (1A). Belkin's regular 12v DC 1-2 port chargers are guilty of this so it's possible that the Aircast is the same way. There's a mod but only useful if you are handy with a soldering iron (or willing to learn, it's easy for things like this).

My generic car charger doesn't have this problem but I had a previous one that did. Still getting a proper charge even when Nav is on and Google Play is streaming . The OEM vehicle dock will behave in the same way.
