yeah that's what i mean XD we just recognize a "new sim" as a new network provider here in the philippines thanks for the clarification, hope we gave a clear solution

Battery Low Just 2G Network

Is there an app or an option just to select 2g network but not 3g.

To save loads of battery???

MAYBE ITS MY LOCATION. it dont have 2G network but have 3G network ?

3G only work not 2G ( i tried what u said guys but still nothing.... i tried GSM only. but when i go to browser. it doesnt load anything... no internet access . huhuuh... but our neighbour can use his 2G by the way, should i check ** use packet data ** when going to GSM only? or plz reply asap thanks

srry for very long reply ( i had school so cant go in computer for long )

i'm having the same issue on my LG Su660! waiting for reply! cuz my another phone can connect to the internet using Gprs but my LG phone cannot!

Of course you should......

how otherwise do you hope to use Mobile Data Network??

Also available from "stock" power button menu, Data Network mode dctivated/deactivated.....see pics below for what I get on GSM only:


GSM only Selected...Settings/Wireless and networks/Mobile networks/Network mode


You will get the above warning!!...say OK!!


Result!!! See Edge[E] Network Symbol in Notification


Also can be done using Power Button Menu...showing Stock Menu

This is how I utilise 2G, and save Battery, useful for checking e-mail, etc, and uses very little Data....I leave it on 2G/GSM unless I absolutely need 3G/WCDMA....
