If can run on our milestone,if some has work on it?
I understand that it's need to be work and be more stable even old devices and of 4 has work o.k so why 4.1 not? the 4 good only for good device and now it's official information that 4.1 will be work on more device..so why not?

I think that some devices are getting too old to handle newer versions of Android. I also don't see the possibility to run 4.1 on Armv6 devices.
It's sad, but it's the time to buy new phone if you want to follow the Android development.

Default Sending and receiving MMS

My Milestone is running with the latest Nightly developed by Kabaldan and compiled by mrvek. Thanks a lot to them.It is running quite smoothly except some/frequent crashings of the browser. But I have another problem.I can't send or receive MMS with this ROM.Previously when I was with HO!NO!'s ROM I was able to send and receive MMS.With the same APN settings (of Aircel carrier in India) I cannot send or receive MMS with this ROM.After completing the MMS when I click on Send option it is continuously showing SENDING.But never goes. What might be the cause?Whether is it me alone is experiencing this?
Waiting for response from somebody with thanks,
pnsdhrn

I have no problems with mms. Only one but it went through. Do you have data enabled? I can not send or receive mms if mobile data is disabled. I'm not sure why though or if it is phone or service provider "feature".

Regarding browser crashes: there is a line in build.prop that enables hardware acceleration (hwui.whitelist=com.process.name). Put something as process name that does not equal any existing process name (none or disabled will do). See if it helps with crashes.

afadel, duandroid: Thanks for the feedback. It took me some time to realize where's the flaw and how to fix it . I'm glad the fix works as expected. Hopefully, the solution will be accepted in the aosp upstream as well.

regarding the 4.1 aka Jelly Bean: Until the platform source is published, all the talk about where and how it can run is a pure speculation. Better wait for the source release before drawing conclusions...

regarding the phone upgrade...
There is currently no decent phone with all of the following features:
- bootloader allowing boot of custom compiled kernel
- gsm/umts phone
- hardware qwerty keyboard
- >=1GB of RAM
- 4+" display
- ics proprietary blobs available

I couldn't find any replacement for my current Milestone so far.
Let's see what the future will bring.

Well, I find it annoying to use the soft keyboard... physical keyboard is a must for me as well.
Droid 4 would be incredibly popular if it weren`t for the bootloader

Default Thanks

The latest nightly is amazing I can't believe you guys revived my old Milestone. But as a question the Milestone get a port of the new Android 4.1 Jelly bean Lock screen, because I think the lock screen looks really nice and would be a great addition to the 4.0 experience. .. Just a thought
