Good luck bro, sounds like a bad situation hope everything works out. I'm not really good at porting roms or I'd give it a shot. Try to remember to that porting Jelly Bean is porting a rom made for a tablet and not a phone just like honeycomb. Might prove to be more difficult to get running on the shift. For the nook however might not be to hard since it's a tablet.

It's not tablet exclusive? It's already on the gnexus and was created with both phone and tablets in mind (continuing the trend of merging the two devices with one os that ics started).

Yup... Stuck at a please contact nook screen with no recovery.. Sounds fun.. Somebody told me what to do to get everything back even the recovery but I can't do it because I have no idea how to.. I just need some help with how to do it.. I'll probably get back to the evo shift maybe next week or so.. This is really big to me so I'm going to focus most of my time towards my nook.. I'm sorry..

Aw ok. Guess the nexus 7 being the first android 4.1 device has nothing to do with that. I don't own a gnexus so I wouldn't know anything about it lol. We'll see what all devices are in Google's source code when they release it. Gnexus and nexsus 7 should definitely be there by default.

Lol thanks I'm having troubles with it though on how it says : Instead of a 50mb partition, just make a 2gb partition, make sure it's formatted to fat32 and enable boot, and lba flags. I reccommend at least a 2gb microsd. Anyways, unzip the files that are provided, but put them in the root folder of the sd card, not "SDCARD". Make a folder called blk.

I'm not sure how to do that.. I see what its saying. When you put the recovery.img on my SD card using win32diskimager, it says I only have 50mb of space left. For me to go further into the guide I need to extend it like the guide says but I'm lost on how to do that.
