Xaikar helped me out quite a bit. We hashed out several different attempts to get my phone into a usable state. Unfortunately, his posted method of fastboot options didn't work. I kept getting failure errors with each and every type of attempt.

Oddly, I was getting errors when using Matt's DRU 1.6 also. The first 2 times. On the 3rd attempt (with no other significant changes), matt's utility finally got me into Android recovery. So I was finallly able to wipe cache / data / and factory data reset. Another saving grace was that I had the ICS .211 update on my SD EXT card still, so I could simply then flash that.

After 10 minutes of painfully waiting to see what is going to happen, the magical mystical blue ICS welcome screen finally popped up. Now it's off to re setup my entire phone. Not my idea of fun, but at least Titanium Backup has all the apps still.

cheers, and thanks Xaikar.
What option did you chose on Matt's DRU?

I was in exactly same situation and was getting same errors but finally patience helped me to get my phone in battery charging state.
First of all you are right about using DRU. Bot what is even more important that system is not only thing required to get battery charging screen to appear you require to have webtop which could be transferred using following command
moto-fastboot flash webtop grfs.img
Yes i used moto-fastboot since DRU uses it to do flashing and after successful flash I restarted into menu and selected BP Tools and red M logo appeared first and than after about 30 seconds screen with battery show up so now my battery charging as I'm writing this
cheers, and thanks Xaikar.

Remember that utility we took the SYSTEM.IMG from stick that file and the RECOVERY.IMG in the same folder as the folder with the fastboot stuff.

Try

fastboot erase recovery

then

fastboot flash recovery recovery.img

after that completes

fastboot reboot

once it comes back up

fastboot erase system

then

fastboot flash system system.img

REMEMBER in command line EVERYTHING is case sensitive.
Dude!! Thank you so so much! I thought I had turned my droid razr maxx into a $400 paper weight!
I was searching and reading and pressing buttons for over 5 hours on a dying phone. These steps worked like a charm!
Thank you so much!

Only difference for me was the second last step (fastboot erase system) didn't work at first. It went back to battery low. So I did the pwr+volup+voldown for 10sec, followed by volup+voldown to get the menu and chose AP Fastboot to make it show Battery OK. Then did the last step and everything was fine.

Again...Thank you!

Okay relax we have a little bit of time now.

I AM IN NO WAY SHAPE OR FORM RESPONSIBLE IF YOU BRICK YOUR DEVICE

Go download (adb /fastboot files) http://dottech.org/downloads/adb_fas...ther_tools.zip
And Download (Droid Razr Utility) http://www.filefactory.com/file/7ki1...COMPATIBLE_zip

I DID NOT MAKE EITHER OF THESE TOOLS BUT COMBINED THEY SAVED ME

1: Extract the adb / fastboot files to your desktop
2: Copy the SYSTEM.IMG out of the Razr utility into the folder with your adb / fastboot stuff
3: Hold shift and right click inside the folder with all your adb / fastboot files and select open command prompt here
4: Unplug your Razr and plug your Razr into your computer DO NOT REBOOT IT (Make sure it still says battery OK)
5: Type in the command (Do not type in the brackets) [fastboot flash system system.img]
6: WAIT its going to take a little over a minute to send the file and a little over a minute to write the file
7: Once the system file has been sent over reboot
8: You should see the Droid Razr boot image just give it time to start up
9: CHARGE YOUR PHONE
10: Go back and run Droid Utility and press 1 on its options to properly reimage the device.

I hope this was helpful I havent seen any guides like this before. I was almost to the point of caving in and tearing the Razr open but I really didn't feel comfortable doing that. I was looking everywhere for a guide to trick fastboot or get the Razr to charge in fastboot (No luck) I was in that scary place were I thought I had bricked my first phone ever but I was able to recover from it. If you still have life in your phone this should work. The reason the Droid Razr utility does not work is it reboots the phone and then knows the battery is dying. This guide tricks fastboot into thinking the battery is okay. Once fastboot is tricked you should be able to flash by pushing it yourself.

If your phone dies while doing this you are probably hard bricked now.

Worked first try! took me straight out of bootloop thank you again
