Or you can just refresh the page... works the same way with no hassle.

Txting to me is like a quick confirmation or observation, I don't explain the world through it. I do think it's really handy... but not that handy...
In my early 30's and send under 1000 a month myself. I think its because a lot of the younger people on this planet don't really care about wasting anything. I could get up 5000 too if I sent one word text messages all the time. I think about want I want to say before hand and send one or two messages instead of a bunch of small ones.

Example:

Data Wasteful teen:

1 Hey
2 What's going on?
3 What are you up to tonight?
4 Will be free after 8 if you want to hang out.

My text messages.

1 Hey what are you up to? What's going on tonight? Free after 8 if you want to hang out.

They send 4 messages to do the same thing I do in one, it's not only wasteful but obnoxious too.

Becides text is supposed to be a backup when you can't talk on the phone. I don't have the patience to deal with someone just sitting there refusing to pick up the phone and talk. These are the people who drag out a 5 min conversation over voice into a 30 minute 100's of texts conversation. Screw that, stop wasting my time and data. Unlimited is not an excuse to waste.

@jamesnmandy

At this point I would be willing to put the last little bit of savings I have on a bet that Verizon is stockpiling phones for retail sales first instead of shipping preorders like every other company. We will see Verizon retail stores get this phone on or close to release day. Its not going to be like all the other companies that sent out preorders and didn't get the phone locally until weeks later. Verizon could care less about loyality and people who plan ahead and preorder. Its all about the money; grubbing donkey holes.

Not again... WE ARE SO OVER THIS TEXT BS!!!! Can we please just stay on topic? Like is there more than just this one guy from Google plus with a review unit?

EDIT: ok I seen the little bit at the end. And yeah they are just probably money hungry hence the switch away from unlimited data yet the internet world is going to "cloud storage" and streaming sites and everything else. If you didn't want unlimited data all the carriers should have gotten together a long time ago and decide not to allow it. It's just a bad choice on there move. I'm just ready for this phone to finally ship out

I dont understand how to cloud is the future if nobody even has unlimited data to properly utilize it. It is incredibly stupid to me.

You can properly utilize it. You just have to pay extra to do it.

I thought 64 gig sdxcs were the reason we went with this phone vs the galaxy nexus.

Theyre craftier than you think - get everyone on limited data while pushing the cloud that way when people actually go to use it theyll pay way more than $30/month.

I went with this phone in the hopes that it wouldnt have the connection issues the GNex has, and I felt that upgrading to the Rezound wouldnt have been a significant upgrade from my Incredible (plus, at this point the Rezound is already 8 months old, Id rather get something new).

They should have acted sooner than they did yes. That's the more rational response vs. what I usually see around here. "OMG doo yoo know wut unlimitedz means!?"

The unlimited plans were created at a time when the devices and networks available had a very limited amount of damage they could do, even with "unlimited data". Back then people were actually, you know, talking on the phone. Texting has only recently gone from being a pariah reserved for teenagers with disposable time on mommy and daddys plan to becoming a socially acceptable way to communicate. I freely admit at first when texting came out I was one of the "just ****ing call me" guys. But over the years I learned that there are times when a text can be more appropriate. Like when a coworker is in a meeting, I will email him instead of calling. It allows the sender and receiver to be less engaged and distracted. I can answer a text from my wife while in a meeting without anyone knowing, can't do that with a call.

Just got tired of shelling out so much money for a mount for my phone after I spend all that money on the darned phone! It actually works out really well. I just swapped out shrink tubing for the wrapping of yarn.
Nice! I actually just use velcro! Sucks there is a big strip of velcro on the back but...

I really dont think I'm putting velcro on my shiny white gs3 so I might try this thanks!

If that's the only reason you bought this phone over the Galaxy nexus, that's sad. But, to each his own, I suppose
