Hi Vikesh,
The chipset is same in both the tablet & the phone version mot much difference you are free to try it out if you are developing the same.

Hi Vikesh,
The drivers are for the reference platform cardhu & ventana both are tablet platform’s not mobile & targeted for developers who are developing on the NV reference platform.
You are free to try that but I am not sure it will work on the mobiles platform from people like Samsung.

Yes sir, but without HW acc drivers there are lots of bugs in that one. Also, The dev EPSYLON3 (who is official developer of Cyanogen Mod, developed Atrix & Defy CM7) is now developing CM7 for GALAXY R, but in between progress, he said without HW Acc driver this ROM willn't be complete. Please sir, we dont want to bother you. Provide us the drivers from any source.

Hi Vikesh,
There a Cyanogen Mod for LG Optimus 2X which is also same as the Samsung galxy R specs to specs it has Cynogen 7.1 I think based on ICs if I am not wrong you might want to find drivers in that rom for hardware acceleration for tegra.

Hi Vikas,
Again like you must be knowing without the ROM for the same even if I manage to get something which is next to impossible will be useless as without rom the drivers are useless.

Dear sir,
Now I asked directly from Samsung India. As per Samsung, we need to have NVIDIA TEGRA 2 Hardware accelerator drivers which Galaxy R doesn't have. Please if you can provide that then we can have ICS update for our mobile

Vikesh

Hi Vikesh,
I don’t think that is the case as LG has already announced on their facebook site saying they will be releasing ICS for Optimus which was delayed to Q3 due to some reason which I do not know.
And if Companies want to release ICS for respective handsets *they can work directly with NVIDIA on this.

Dear sir,
Back again with few replies got from several companies, actually running Tegra 2 AP20H chipset in there devices. As per Samsung, LG, Motorola The reason of why we are not getting ICS is "All these phones who run the Tegra 2 AP20H chipset."
Please find below mentioned reason which I found from A social site regarding Nvidia chipset:
"The culprit is Nvidia, not Motorola, Samsung or LG. Nvidia has not released the drivers/libraries for ICS, without which a fully functional ROM is impossible. You could see the difference. No Sony Ericsson or HTC phones use the Tegra 2 chipset. So does many of Samsung's top level phones. You can see that these phones are already receivng their ICS upgrade. Samsung, Moto and LG made a mistake of choosing Tegra 2 for their phones and we made a mistake of buying these phones. Now we've to wait till the idiots at NVidia release the drivers."

Hi Vikesh,
Like I have mentioned earlier it not only the NVIDIA drivers there are Number of stuff which is required for the update also Google has a say in this & not only NVIDIA drivers.
But if you check the web there are many tablets & phones based on Tegra chip which will be upgradable to ICS like the LG Optimus 2X also on the community website like Cyanogen etc there are already ICS based rom's for the Tegra based chips.

Hi Vikesh,
Normally there are many things other than drivers which are required to release an upgrade to an OS say ICS for android.
It is up to SAMSUNG when they want to release a update to a particular model & also if it makes a business sense in releasing an update as "Better performing Tegra -2 chip can give a better performance than the Samsung's own chip.".
So it is actually up to Samsung & not nvidia to release an update if they want to.
