Virtual Router (and connectify too) is a program to turn your PC or laptop into wifi spot, and share your internet connection with your tablet ...

Hey Guys.

I just picked up my GT2 10.1, ICE Cream Sandwich, 4.04 a few days ago and I successfully rooted it, following info I found here (THX!). My next step was to tether it to my 3GS using the wpa_suplicant mod, but like the OP, it doesn't work. The WiFi gets stuck on "Turning On...". I reverted back without issue, but I was wondering if a wpa_suplicant file for the GT2 10.1 is out there?

connectify for windows, and even better hostapd for linux. You dont even need to patch your tab then.

im using windows xp and installed connectify yet my tab can't connect to my wireless sharing
what should i do?

Well, some old wireless cards do not support AP mode, that might be the case with you. Can you tell which wireless adapter you have?
I am not very sure, but I think CM9 includes a patched wpa_supplicant. My phone connects to ad-hocs with CM9, I have not tried CM9 on my tab though, you can try?

i will try CM9 then.
FYI in connectify sharing mode its all wifi ad-hoc (open/WEP) to choose
i think that's the problem, cuz its only ad-hoc mode avalaible
