[Q] Problems with the Samsung OEM data/charge cable

That's what I had to do for the cheapies I bought at Fry's. The more expensive cables seem to work well without any modification... although I have one that is just junk too... keep your receipts!

The ones I've had to trim back have been the highest quality ones
