Front VGA Camera

I just wanted to hear what were the people's opinion concerning the front camera.

One of the changes made to Galaxy Tab 2 to lower the price was to downgrade the front camera to VGA. Is VGA good enough quality for making Skype calls? Everyone does make a comment that the decision to change the front camera was a bad one, but I rarely seen comment about the actual quality of VGA camera and if it is functionally adequate for what it is made for.

Honestly the VGA for making calls via gtalk or Skype.
Just a few minutes ago someone saw a small scar of my face.
It's not that bad.

Even with tab 2 current resolution, I think even a QVGA resolution for front cam is still acceptable, since most problem is the framerate and bandwidth.

The biggest offender is the lack of autofocus in rear cam, google goggles is incompatible and scanning 2d barcodes is useless due to lack of it (my previous x10i scan barcodes easily).
