Hi all I tried to follow the tutorials of customizing the framework-res.apk and made a flash zip file to test but keeps saying aborted? I would be be very great full if someone could take a look and tell me what ive done wrong? ive changed the drawable-nodpi/ background_holo_dark.png to a custom image. Its a test 4 me but I want to find out what I have done wrong.

Sure, your error it's that you compress the folder named 'test' with the other 2 folders inside, what you need select to compress on the .zip it's the META-INF and system folders. I'll do it for you, take a look on the attach and compare it with your file

thank you i see what i have done wrong. Ive flash it and hopping for the best lol as couldn't get apktool to work as kept giving me errors when recompiling. dang its boot looping. I used apktool manager

I'm not use apktool since i'm on Linux but usually "googling" the specific error you can find some help, sometimes it's one file outdated on the installation. But if you only gonna change images, then the "Drag & Drop" method works fine.

trying the drop and drag method now. Sorry for being a noob. My aim at the mo is just to customize the back round/dialer etc like you have done in this thread
