If I can't run 5.1 on BML, anyone know the most recent version of TH that does run on 5.1?
Thanks for the help.

Thunderhawk 5 would work; I am looking for that zip. Here, there is a link on his blog under old versions. Though it is painfully slow to download from goo. (it finally downloaded for me after like 10 minutes of waiting, I have that zip and can put it somewhere for you if you really want it)
That being said; MTD should not cause you any issues.
This is what I recommend.
backup any phone contacts (not google contacts those will sync for you), sms/mms and call log that you want to keep using MyBackup root (free on the market).
you can backup your apps and their data as well.
Put TH 5.1 on your sd card. download and put CM9 on your sd card.
Boot to recovery.
make a nandroid backup of your phone.
flash cm9 (it will convert the file system to MTD; their process seems to work better, the phone will reboot during the process of converting to MTD leave it be)
don't reboot to system when the complete CM9 flash is done
now flash TH 5.1
when that is done; reboot
let the phone start up; it will take a min or two. Login to google and let it sync.
using MyBackup root; restore your phone contacts, sms/mms and call logs you may have backed up before - no apps at this time.
Now use rom manager to make a backup called; clean thunderhawk51. This will give you a good starting point to get back to if a restore goes bad.
It is a pain but its highly recommended that you not restore data to ensure nothing can fubar the phone during a restore process.
But if you want; try to restore your apps and their data. If the phone goes off the deep end you can get back to a good place by restoring the clean backup you made prior to restoring apps and data.
If there is an issue above then just restore the apps and not their data and you can then set them up from there.
Hope this helps
