I flashed the kexec 3.0.33 kernel onto cm9_beta5-pre1 (bone-clean install)
+ it worked fine, except 4G wimax didn't work.......otherwise, kexec kernel 3.x.x is amazingly lag-free, zippy as hell!........things still being worked out, but what a fun kernel!

You can follow all kernel developments here:
http://epiccm.blogspot.com/2012/05/e...-progress.html

*note: seem to remember 4G wimax working on cm9_beta4 (+ 3.x.x).........could just be a conflict w/ 'experimental' beta5 (?).

I found a setting to link ringtone and notification mute so I checked it. Hopefully, that will fix the problem. Otherwise, everything's behaving well with the clean install and Shadow. I tried Nyan after stock but it didn't work as well for my phone as Shadow. I also went back to Launcher Pro because Trebuchet didn't work well on my phone. It kept locking up. So, as long as I'm using Shadow, I know not to post in the CM9 forum.

This may be unrelated to your volume issue, but I did find out the hard way that silent mode only affects ringtones and notifications, not media - and some notifications from some apps seem to register as media, therefore ignoring the mute placed on notifications.

If that is the case, then the work around that has worked for me is to manually lower media volume - it is far from convenient, but it works. Also, the expandable volume menu option offers a much quicker way to get to the media volume slider, which helps a bit...

Unless you're referring to mine - regard it, definitely

On a serious note, what previous message are you referring to? You didn't post in the last couple of pages...

Have you tried turning it off and on again? Is it definitely plugged in?
How is it that your phone is made by Google (a search engine) and yet you can't search before you post??? #truestory

Samsung Galaxy S3 (SGH-i747)
Currently running: latest CM10.1 nightly (I admit I'm a flashaholic)

Asus Transformer TF300T
Currently running: stock JB (no really)

Hey, anyone else unable to flash Shadow on the last two CM9 nightlies? My phone boots but then the touch screen doesn't work. i.e. i can't unlock it nor does the phone acknowledge my touch. .I can flash the 07/02 build but get no touchscreen .No biggie, as I'm running the 07/02 for now. Just wondering if something conflicts. Thanks
