The FP scanner only makes this phone worse and delays the release of ics even more.

Future proof phones come once in a while, and we all know that manufacturers have to make money too, so releasing a future proof phone every time would be against their own benefit (profit).

There's more people that use memory programs such as "SystemPanelLite" than you think. There's more than a half million downloads just for that app alone.

Sure 1gb is enough for today, but IMO it's disappointing for a phone that's 2 sequels behind ours.

Here's a question that I have for you. Can you really justify picking up the Atrix HD while owning an Atrix?

^ (Especially since the Atrix HD will probably have the BL Locked, and that you are probably gonna be at the mercy of Motorola for updates)

You won't get quad-core same reason Galaxy s3 won't get quad-core in the U.S.

These are basically the same specs as HTC One X, what did you really expect?
All the real phones worth upgrading to won't be out till fall/winter.

What you said in above is way too hard to be understood by the American Motorola's fans. The same goes with some of the moderators of Motorola phones forums.

I don't hessitate to say Motorola was already an evil and arrogant American company that now owned by another giant evil company called Google. God help us all.

I have already sold my Motorola Defy and thinking to cut my losses and sell the Atrix too. I might keep Atrix as my last ever owned Motorola phone, I like the phone. I'm just eager to see if it finally runs the way it should have from day one or not. Personally, as I have always said, I'd be very happy to receive Gingerbread fixes for my Atrix, like the US owners got but Motorola has denied UK users as well as other countries the GB fixes.

I have already purchased the Samsung Galaxy Note, very pleased by it, and once my contract is up (on Atrix in very early 2013) I would not even consider Motorola options even if they had the best phone on the market.

I will never forgive Motorola for how awfully treated the customers out-side of USA.

You do realize that your Galaxy Note runs on Android right? Google can't be that evil to you...

All my smartphones are Android based. My CSharpHeaven ID has nothing to do with my opinion on Google. I turned down WP 7 because I knew how bad it was and Microsoft was ripping customers off.

Now here is something you should really know. The only credit Google gets it is how they used other technologies (Java, Linux, VM, and etc) to put together and enhance other concepts to develop Android. Google by using people's money, including yours, managed to create something descent today, the Jelly Beans, that has the same product quality when the first version of iOS came out. The irony? most people invested in Android, including you and I, will never see JB on the very expensive hardwares people bought 8 to 12 months ago.

I see the bigger picture.

One must never let logic and common sense get in the way of a bitchy rant.
Martin's Android devices:
- Samsung Galaxy S III (AT&T) with CyanogenMod 10
- Asus Transformer TF101 with CyanogenMod 10
- Motorola Atrix 4G (AT&T) with CyanogenMod 7.2

All OS have their faults. You can say that they all rip you off, but what's your "realistic" expectation of product support by Google (not the carrier)?

Then again if you want more out of your phone CM7/9 should hold you over for a while. Well at least until you finally decide on which phone you want next...
