HAHAHAHHH please get it correct. There is NO ICS 4.1. Android 4.1 is called Jelly Bean. Anyways until the source code is released (probably in 2 weeks), the CM team has nothing to work with and they only build from source. NO EXCEPTIONS.

Actually there is no ICS source for Photon so technically CM9 is not built from source so that's not entirely true.

People should stop asking these questions... We will have fully working jb when we get 4.0 kernel and drivers and when joker has the time to implement them to the jb rom.

Yes i meant Google source for Jelly Bean. I am aware that Motorola hasn't come out with the ICS source because the ICS upgrade hasn't even come out yet. It is still being developed for Q4.

I believe this was a valid question .

I just received my photon, coming from droid incredible 2. So far I feel that the since forums are more polite and have more devs with more courtesy .

I see your point, but its the same as asking when were getting ics... I understand youre new to the photon forums, and welcome aboard. But when you see a new thread every couple days asking about the release date of ics (and now jb) for the past 8 or 9 months it gets agitating. Especially because if people would bother scanning through just the threads on page one they would quickly find the answer to this and many other commonly asked questions. I try to be as helpful and polite as i can, but just as its a rule of thumb to think before you speak, also should it be a rule of thumb to read before you post. I apologize if i offended you.

The dinc forums were constantly flooded , I agree with you I apologize if I came off rude.

I'll do my best to keep them clean and contribute when possible.

Maybe make this thread as a hub of 4.1 progression & updates ?
