Well, no, i havent done this on purpose, my o2x fell down and the glass broke.
Yes, its glass. And its glued. I had to pull off the glass in little pieces, maybe its easier when its heated.

Then i put black nail polish on it. Not really beautifull, but its ok, and im looking for a new cover anyway.

Any hints where i can get this? thx
I did the same thing with mine except mine didn't fell, i just removed the glass!

They should of used a proper glass lense than some cheap plastic.

I disagree with you. I also had a 5800 and I NEVER, I repeat, NEVER noticed ANY differences with or without the back cover, on many of the tests I've done.

I'm pretty sure this is a placebo effect.

This is a test under a controlled environment, with manual focus at 15cm, ISO 100, Fluorescent White Balance, Super Fine quality and No Image Stabilization. Photos were resized to 2048 x 1536 pixels.

- The test:

- With back cover (click to enlarge):

- Without back cover (click to enlarge):

Regards y'all.

Well, I don't see any difference that would make me remove the back cover every time I want to take pictures. Even less, remove the camera glass cover.

Camera phones are ****, there's no miracle that will make them better.

There's a wide range of digital cameras, from those really cheap and bad quality and the good ones. I have a Canon A630, it is about 5 years old and also have 8MP, but the image quality is way superior.

Even in the best case scenario this camera phone has a granulated image and kind of "blurry", compared to the point-and-shoot.
