Player Bricked after reflash

I'm coming from Eryigit Release 3.5 and flashed the new v1.4 ROM and Entropy Kernel. Now the player 5.0 is bricked and couldn't get even into the download mode to reflash. All black screen -- totally dead.

As usual, I wiped every data/cache then flashed Chip 1.4 ROM then the kernel then reboot. But I couldn't get it to reboot. Any idea? Help is appreciated.

Well, I don't know how that happened, but I know it wasn't this rom specifically. I've had no issues like that with Entropy's kernel either. First, I'd try holding down the power and volume down buttons for 20-30 seconds to force it to reboot into download (maybe it just got stuck?). See if the computer detects it even without showing anything on the screen.

CWM shouldn't even be able to keep you from getting to download mode - the only way to do that is to corrupt the bootloaders, and if that happened you should be able to get back with this tool. Beyond that, I don't think there's anything else I can do to help you.

This rom has no kernel on bootloader so it has nothing to do with rom..you did sometnih wrong when you flashed the kernel..why did you fleshed the kernel at all.

I don't think it has to do with the rom either. It just so happened that this time the player is bricked. I have Samsung Infuse and other Andriod devices, this is the first time I have system brick after rom reflesh. I believe there is something else that corrupted the bootloader during the flesh process that I have no idea what it was. Thanks for your response. Now I'll definitely miss your wonderful ROMfor awhile ... hopefully not for too long

like this rom a lot; except cannot get any sound on system volume. shows max, but get nothing; coming from egriyt rom. wiped everything before install and wiped again. still no sound on system or ringtone; the other sounds work, media and notification. any help if you know would be appreciated thanks for your work

i see there is no ui folder under system/media/audio. is there any way to add the folder with ogg files that will work for basic system sounds. ?

You can add the ui folder with .ogg sound files into the system/media/audio folder with root
explorer, es file explorer, etc. any file manager with root access.

Just set permissions of the folder and files within to match one of the other audio folders and files. Reboot when finished.

I did it this way and it works. Extracted the files from another gingerbread rom and just copied them over with es.

This is going to be the first ROM I've ever used. I hope I don't get bricked.

Oh my god. I got into a bootloop. I hateeverything. I'm doing a CWM Recovery. Anyway I can actually get this ROM to work? Should I have done something different? All I did was unmounth SD then install the .zip file.
