Unfortunately you cant connect the Device to the PC if the External Battery is connected but that is not realy a big Problem. When the Backup Battery is full you can just disconnect it and connect the phone directly to the PC until you leave. Or just use two USB Cables to charge and connect at the same time.

Bought the one without the flip cover?

Yup from DealExtreme. It does not protect it well so I guess with the flip cover it is probably safer. But then again the extended battery does have to be on the Phone all the time since the internal batterie is not bad either.

http://www.dealextreme.com/p/3200mah...-133680?item=1 for $25.10

and this one is on its way:

Replacement 3.7V 5000mAh Battery Pack w/ Back Cover : http://www.dealextreme.com/p/replace...t-n7000-116923 $13.70

I wonder how this one looks. It is probably going to make the device extremely heavy and thick. But 5000mAh plus extended 3200mAh gives me 8200mAh of traveling power. While I was at it I also bought myself a JIG just in case. http://www.dealextreme.com/p/unbrick...0-93514?item=3

DealExtreme is not exactly the fastest. Lets hope the rest will show up this week.

One more thing I am looking at getting: http://www.dealextreme.com/p/72-key-...g-i9220-137226 For $36.30

I can't see how you'd be able to put the 3200mah over the 5000mah as its designed for the stock back cover.

Well the way a external Battey works is by just connecting via MicroUSB and charging the internal battery. It will not fitt over it but you can still easely connect the external Battery to the Extended Battery.

In the same way you can charge your friends devices that have a Micro USB connector. See Screenshot charging a HD2

I got what I payed for. I guess. Can't Imagine how someone works for these prices and have it shipped around the world. The same thing costs about three times as much in Switzerland.

Well I dont recomend charging the External battery while charging the internal battey anyway. You cant sync while it is charging and as long as the internal battery is charging the external does not get charged much at all. So you are better off charging them seperately. The output current stayed in a acceptable range while connecting and disconnecting the external battery. It probably does not affect the Phone much but I can see how it could negatively affect the External Battery. As per Handbook they give it about 500 Cycles which would probably get reduced if the battery has a constant flow of current. The nice thing is there is a power button on the back so you dont have to unplug the battery all the time when the internal one is fully charged while you are on your way. On the Phone I am still monitoring how long it will last with one full charge compared to adding the 3200mAh. Found the Battey Monitor Widget App very extensive. Almost better then BetterBatteryStats.

I am sure Shenzhen is a great place which I would love to visit. But Switzerland is not a bad place either. You just have to see to it that you are the one selling the thing three times as expensive.
