If you listen to rap you probably like bass, I would recommend the JVC HA-FX1X Xtreme Xplosives. These headphones have great booming bass and good treble, but make sure you burn in the headphones for around 72 hours before you make any opinions about them. The sound improves a huge amount after burn in on these headphones .

Also I wouldn't recommend Skullcandy, they have horrible build quality. Just sayin

Hi kingblade20,

I have a pair of PortaPro and KSC75, they are a little quiet with some sources, like with my Creative ZEN, but for the i9000 they have decent volume, the awesomeness begins with Voodoo, the phone has no problem making them sound extra loud, louder than you'll ever need, also the quality increases greatly (so much that I preferred an SGS i9000 over an SGS2 i9100 both free on my data plan and I have never regret it ).

As for the model you want I can't say much, haven't tried them, but I really recommend you that if you can try them with the source you're going to use, if you can't well hydrogenaudio, head-fi, innerfidelity and anythingbutipod are great sources for info about Hi-Fi listening

Also remember that every manufacturer gives his headphones a build sound temperature, some are warm and some could, some are really balanced and some not, thinking that the best thing to do is try them.

Happy Hi-Fi listening!

i can recommend akg or sennheiser

the last 2 years i was using akg K 324 P

tech info:

audio bandwith: 12-23 500 hz
efficiency: 121 db
impendance: 16 ohm
cable: 115 cm

they cost at least 50-60 €

now im using sennheiser cx 175 cause my store had no akg they where sold out

tech info:

audio bandwith: 12-23 000 hz
efficiency: 121 db
impendance: 16 ohm
cable: 120 cm

cost about 40-50 €

u see at least same specs.

with both of them im using voodoo sound along with dsp manager and no sctrachy or cracky sound at max. volume.

over the years i got also audio technica, sony, ultimate ears, phillips and much more but i went every time back to sennheise or akg they have the best price/perfomance.

Those are also great brands, I would really encourage you to grab a pair of hi inpedance headohones, as I told the portapro are 60 ohms and the sgs can really give a kick even with hi impedance ones.

The best for me are the porta pro because they sound really good and are really inexpensive. Also the life time warranty is nice.

And remember to stay far away from Beats solo HD cause they are terrible! XD

man 60 ohms do u have that 2400 mA accu? sry i cant say if thats good cause of the energy drain they have/would have. how long do u listen to music when youre on the road?

im listening at least 4 hours a day with heavy using (callings, server checking, updating give help via teamviewer etc) and my accu stays about 2 days.

i wouldn't recommend anything more than 32 ohms when u want to use your HANDY longer than a day and dont want to buy a bigger accu or carry an 2nd accu with u.

im using SlimRom 4.2 with semaphore overclocked to 1200 Mhz and undervolted to get battery life back and some other tweaks (dark apps dark themes memory tweaks etc.).

hope that helps with ur desition

Haven't measured but I get around a day of heavy music use, social updates, messaging and calling, also some games but that really light, my main use is as a phone, a lot of music and web surfing like at the office were we are not suposed to do it hehehe just like now.

As for the impedance I also have a pair of Sennheiser pmx100 (the neck version of the px100) and they are 32ohms, but the portapro sound way better and the extra impedance helps a lot (almost 2x) .

I still have the original battery and I always carry mi Asus transformer in case I need to do heavier stuff. Also if needed charge the phone over the TF usb if i'm on the road.

Now i'm running CM7.2 kang with a lot of tweaks on glitch 13.1 at 1Ghz, but tonight I'll try slim.
